Re: Linton Blackwell A Resident of the Buckhead Community

To Whom this Letter May Concern,

On 10-11-2025 Linton Blackwell was Murdered by an Atlanta Police officer Gerald Walker! Let me bring some facts about Linton Blackwell! He was a recurring guest at Gentry Apartments where he was loved by security and the concierge there. Linton had friends that Promoted at Sauce at Muse at Tulum at Buckhead Saloon that he visited quite often. He was loved and adored. He decided to visit 5 Paces Bar to meet new people, and had no idea this bar had an enormous number of police filings for stolen phones, stolen credit cards being drugged at the bar, etc.! This bar is filled with patrons who carry the same behavior as the Saturday night Buckhead Saloon patrons! Linton was an active guest to establishments on Roswell & Irby Ave! He wasn't just some random person in the neighborhood! He loved this community! The system failed us! The Fire station number 21 never responded although 15 steps away! Grady never showed up! The GBI had this man's body lying in the streets for 10hrs with family members in tears! Your system failed us period! Now you want to cast out Blacks from the nightlife here? Shift the blame on the fact that 5 Paces Bar employed a killer cop by way of APD? We won't stand for it! Get rid of 5 Paces Bar license! Close them down! The patrons that jumped on Linton Blackwell on the night of 10-11-25 at 5 paces bar we are holding everyone accountable! He was murdered for no reason at all! He should have made it home to his daughters that night! Atlanta Police Department is using scare tactics by shutting down businesses to key Black witnesses regarding this case to keep them quiet! The Atlanta Police Department has shown more racial disparities in policing and enough is enough! These families are barely holding on to their sanity. People don't understand what police brutality does to the family and the community. It challenges your mental health! The rate of fatal police shootings among Black Americans was much higher than that for any other ethnicity! We want 5 Paces Closed! We wont Stop until The APD Officer G. Walker is behind bars and 5 Paces Bar is Closed Down!
