    April 2024

    23 Arrested at Emory and Later Released

    In an effort to force Emory to divest from Israel's genocidal campaign against Palestine, activists from multiple organizations, including the Alliance, occupied Emory Campus in April of 2024. Police brutalized protestors, breaking bones and teeth with impunity.

    Atlanta Police invade Emory encampment and begin destroying property and beating students and protestors.

    Atlanta Alliance member Erica Schnider is savagely thrown to the ground by Atlanta Police while speaking at a parking lot near the campus. One of the officers proceeds to put his knee on her neck (1:05).

  • April 2025

    State Charges Protestors.

    Contrary to what's been said, charges have not been dropped for all of the Emory protestors. In fact, additional charges have been placed on some, including on Atlanta Alliance members. On April 22 2025, a full year after the arrests, Dekalb County scheduled an arraignment for the Emory protestors for July 23, 2025.
